Job Description

Job Title: Community Engagement Coordinator

Job Summary:

Miami Freedom Project is seeking a highly motivated and organized Community Engagement Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in community outreach, volunteer coordination, and event planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive community engagement strategy to increase voter participation and civic engagement.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteer leaders to execute community outreach programs.
  • Coordinate events, such as town halls, canvassing, and voter registration drives, to engage with community members and promote civic participation.
  • Build relationships with community partners and stakeholders to advance the organization's mission.
  • Develop and maintain a database of community contacts and track engagement metrics.
  • Collaborate with the executive director and other team members to develop and implement strategic plans.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in community outreach, event planning, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of building and managing volunteer teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish and English (written and oral).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with voter engagement strategies and voter registration databases.
  • Knowledge of community organizing principles and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
