We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team at STRUCTURAL. Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Provide high-level management to field leaders, foremen, and open-shop crews to ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Pre-Project Planning: Participate in pre-project and pre-task planning activities, disseminating planning details to field crews and ensuring they have the necessary resources to complete tasks.
- Team Leadership: Motivate team members to work together to accomplish tasks, coordinate work activities with other construction project activities, and assign work to employees based on material and worker requirements.
- Safety and Quality: Ensure crews are operating all tools and equipment in a safe, proper, and productive manner, and provide training and assistance to crews in the performance of work-related tasks.
- Project Evaluation: Assist project managers in evaluating various production rates related to the project, and complete all essential paperwork in a clear and accurate manner.
- Recruitment and Training: Interview and hire new field employees, and provide leadership to our company's safety culture.
- Education: High school degree or equivalent.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in general construction, with at least 5 years in a foreman or assistant superintendent role.
- Skills: Prior experience in general repair-type projects, including concrete repair, structural strengthening, waterproofing, corrosion control, facade restoration, etc. Proven ability to supervise various levels of field managers and crews with minimal subcontract oversight.
- Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and execute construction drawings and contract specifications, established dedication to safety, and proven experience producing look-ahead schedules and working with other construction documents.
