The YMCA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aquatic Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our aquatic facilities. As a Lifeguard Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our members and participants.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise Aquatic Staff: In the absence of the Aquatics Director, you will be responsible for supervising aquatic staff to ensure all facility policies are being enforced and observed.
- Maintain Facility Operations: You will be responsible for ensuring that pump room operations, including chemical levels, water clarity, and chlorine/acid tanks are at the appropriate levels and standards.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: You will be responsible for resolving problems with members and participants to the best of your ability or informing the Aquatics Director if not resolved in a timely manner.
- Ensure Safety and Security: You will be responsible for practicing preventive lifeguard techniques at all times and administering First Aid, CPR, AED, or O2 as necessary.
- Experience: 2 years of lifeguarding experience and current YMCA or Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.
- Certifications: Current CPR PRO/AED, First Aid for Public Safety personnel, and O2 certifications from a recognized certifying organization.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Skills: Ability to observe participant activities adequately, enforce safety regulations, and apply appropriate policies and procedures.
