Food Safety Specialist

As a Food Safety Specialist with Steritech, you will play a critical role in ensuring our hotel, restaurant, and grocery clients maintain brand standards, food quality, and friendly service for their customers. Your expertise will help us identify and address potential food safety risks, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our clients and their customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to measure conformity to established regulatory, industry, and proprietary brand standards
- Observe food preparation and cooking standards to ensure food safety, health, and sanitation practices
- Partner with clients to address root causes of assessment discrepancies and develop corrective action plans
- Teach and coach clients on how to create a safer and healthier environment for themselves and their customers
Requirements:
- Meet the requirements to obtain CP-FS certification within 1 year of hire
- Available to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays and evenings as needed (including 2 weekend days/month)
- Desire to travel via car and/or plane up to 50% of the time
- Ability to lift 32 lbs chest high, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
- Ability and desire to influence others with tact and skill as well as provide clear and constructive feedback in a positive manner
- Thrives in an autonomous working environment
- Strong technical knowledge of food safety is preferred
- ServSafe and/or CP-FS Certification(s) a plus
- Must pass pre-employment background screen
- Must possess a valid driver's license and pass a motor vehicle record search
