Job Overview

At Gradient AI, we're seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our predictive analytics application. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-availability, scalable, and maintainable enterprise services and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evolving our predictive analytics application into an enterprise-grade solution by designing for high availability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Developing internal and external APIs to enhance security measures and facilitate data accessibility.
  • Implementing best practices regarding automated testing and streamlining deployments.
  • Providing coaching, mentoring, and technical leadership to peer engineers.
  • Building alignment with product and business stakeholders to develop integrated product roadmaps.
  • Collaborating with our data science and data engineering teams to design and develop robust ML Ops pipelines.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain resilient, high-availability, highly scalable enterprise services and applications.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with product management or other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
  • Experience with Python, SQL, Bash Scripting, and Git; understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a bonus.
  • Experience with CI/CD, SQL databases, RESTful API design, service-oriented architectures, and automated testing.
  • Experience or interest in working in an Agile environment.
  • Exposure with AWS tools or similar cloud tools.
  • Exposure to Databricks or other MLOps tools is a nice to have.
