The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a flexographic press to produce high-quality labels. This includes setting up and running the press, preparing machines for printing and die cutting, and ensuring that substrate, ink, and tooling meet specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate flexographic press to produce labels according to specification.
- Prepare machines for printing and die cutting.
- Ink the press, load substrate, install tooling, mount plates, set print impression, and adjust the press.
- Ensure that substrate, ink, and tooling meet specifications.
- Web paper through the press and adjust feed and tension controls.
- Make adjustments to manage ink distribution, speed, and temperature in the drying chamber.
- Search for and correct problems.
- Make quick corrections to avoid expensive losses of substrate and ink.
- Oil and clean the presses and make minor repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as Press Operator or comparable skills.
- Computer savvy.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking ability.
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving.
- A team player with great communication skills.
- Physical strength and stamina.
