NYC Health + Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Rehabilitation Services to lead our rehabilitation team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality rehabilitation services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement referral processes for rehabilitation patients
  • Supervise and mentor rehabilitation staff to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to provide excellent care
  • Develop and review criteria for referring patients into service and monitor the appropriateness of referrals
  • Participate in orientation and training programs for new staff members
  • Evaluate and ensure competency requirements are met for all clinical staff
  • Direct and supervise rehabilitation staff, providing administrative and clinical support as needed
  • Monitor performance and conduct performance appraisals as per HR policy and procedure
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as NYC Health + Hospitals policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Current New York State License and Registration as a Licensed Physical Therapist
  • Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in physical therapy
  • Five years of professional experience in administering physical therapy, with at least two years in an administrative, managerial, or supervisory capacity
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Incorporates knowledge of cultural differences through effective instructional interactions
  • Comprehends principles of adult learning and incorporates them in formal and informal educational activities
  • Engage in efficient advisement, coaching, and mentoring strategies to help clinicians meet professional goals
  • Maintains 'state of the art' management/professional knowledge, credentials, and skillset
