Job Title: Controls/PLC Engineer at Calspan

Calspan stands at the forefront of providing ground-based testing solutions tailored for the aerospace sector. We are seeking a dedicated Controls/PLC Engineer to enhance our team. In this role, you will take charge of the design, implementation, testing, and support of control systems, software, and data acquisition frameworks utilized in aerospace ground testing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and create electronic subsystems for testing environments, including wind tunnels and various facilities.
  • Ensure that engineering assignments are completed timely and within budget constraints.
  • Maintain documentation in line with established quality protocols.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and installation teams to troubleshoot and resolve challenges.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals for prospective projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in controls, electronics, or data acquisition systems.
  • Familiarity with automation or data acquisition systems in an industrial context.
  • Expertise in LabVIEW or PLCs is highly advantageous.
  • Strong background in PLC and software programming is preferred.
