Job Summary

Millennium Physician Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Clerk to join our Medical Office team in Saint Augustine, FL. As a Medical Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare team by collecting, communicating, and documenting accurate patient information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and document patient information, including medical history, allergies, and medications
  • Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely information exchange
  • Perform phone triage of patient questions and concerns, using established protocols to determine the level of physician or nurse response required
  • Download and review incoming test reports, maintain pharmacy calls, and coordinate requests for prescription refills
  • Schedule outpatient procedures, referral appointments, and diagnostic tests as directed
  • Process patient letters, forms, and other documentation as needed
  • Prepare charts for the next day's appointments and maintain HIPAA privacy restrictions
Requirements
  • CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) preferred, may be LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)
  • Ability to type at minimum 40 WPM
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
