Job Title: Digital Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Electrical Engineer to join our team at Collins Aerospace, an RTX company. As a key member of our Protected Communications Systems (PCS) business, you will be responsible for designing and developing digital systems for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop digital systems for our customers, including printed wiring boards (PWBs) and circuit card assemblies (CCAs)
  • Work with ECAD designers to generate and update schematics based on design requirements
  • Perform design verification and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality designs
  • Produce design documentation and technical reports
Requirements:
  • Experience with schematic capture and parts placement using Siemens Xpedition Toolset or equivalent
  • Ability to select parts and create bill of materials/parts list (BOM/PL)
  • Experience in artwork (ODB++) validation, reviewing, and approving PWB/CCA drawing sets
  • Experience with bench-level testing, troubleshooting, and analyzing test results
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience as an electrical engineer developing circuit card assemblies (CCAs)
  • Typically requires a degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Siemens Xpedition Design Tools is preferred
  • Understanding of power signal routing, planes definition, and stack-up design
  • Knowledgeable of IPC standards for PCB design and fabrication
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools
  • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite
