Position Summary:
Are you a motivated sales professional with a knack for tackling intricate technical challenges? We are seeking a dynamic self-starter to join our rapidly expanding engineering firm as a Client Engagement Specialist. In this role, you will report directly to the Vice President of Marketing and Sales, taking charge of identifying new business opportunities and enhancing our presence within strategic accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
In this position, you will:
- Identify and secure new consulting opportunities through strategic account planning and execution.
- Assess client requirements and propose tailored solutions leveraging our engineering capabilities.
- Guide new leads through the complete sales cycle, from initial prospecting to successful closure.
- Collaborate with our engineering team and leadership on proposals and project scopes.
- Negotiate and finalize agreements to meet individual quotas and contribute to overall company revenue goals.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The perfect candidate will possess a technical degree and enjoy bridging the divide between engineering and business. This role emphasizes relationship-based solution selling rather than transactional sales.
Location: This is an office-based position.
Compensation: The salary range for this role is between $130,000 and $160,000, plus commission. The final salary will be determined based on individual qualifications, skills, and experience.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should have:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering or technical discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in business development.
- A history of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Successful experience in business development within professional services or industry.
- Experience selling at the executive level using consultative, solution-based approaches.
- Skills to nurture marketing-qualified leads through to conversion.
- The ability to think creatively to deliver added value for clients.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and follow-up skills.
- A strong drive to achieve goals independently in an entrepreneurial setting.
- Experience with sales automation and CRM software.
- A successful track record of collaborating with marketing to develop and implement account-based targeting campaigns.
