Job Summary

The Assistant Geologist will play a crucial role in supporting various environmental projects, working with federal, state, local, and commercial clients. This position involves assisting with field sampling, investigations, and report writing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with field-related activities, including logging soils, air monitoring, and installation of groundwater monitoring wells.
  • Assess soil and groundwater data, develop sampling plans, and compile data for analytical results.
  • Contribute to proposal and report writing for environmental projects.
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors for field investigation activities and assist with site remediation planning.
  • Coordinate laboratory analysis for sample identification and evaluation.
  • Conduct on-site field monitoring to ensure compliance with permit requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Geology or a related Environmental field is required.
  • Prior internship and consulting experience, particularly in hazardous site assessment, are preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of geological techniques, principles, and procedures is essential.
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS, RockWare, and Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills are required.
