Job Summary:

Randstad is seeking an experienced Geologist Assistant to join our environmental team in Wichita, Kansas. As a Geologist Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team's field activities, including logging soil and monitoring air during remediation activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental studies or geology and possess basic knowledge of ArcGIS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Field Activities: Assist with field-related activities, including logging soils, air monitoring during investigation and remediation activities, installation of groundwater monitoring wells, collection of soil and groundwater samples for laboratory analysis, and collection of soil for physical testing.
  • Data Analysis: Assist in assessing soil and groundwater data, developing soil and groundwater sampling plans, data compilation for soil, air, and groundwater analytical results.
  • Proposal and Report Writing: Assist with proposal and report writing for environmental-based projects.
  • Coordination and Scheduling: Assist in coordinating and scheduling subcontractors for field investigation activities and assisting with site remediation planning and implementation.
  • Sample Analysis: Assist in coordinating laboratory analysis appropriate to the proper identification and evaluation of samples.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Assist with on-site field monitoring to document compliance with various federal, state, and local permit requirements during project construction.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.
