Job Summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process to deliver developmentally appropriate care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care for patients.
  • Assess patient needs and develop a plan of care that addresses those needs.
  • Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care, making adjustments as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse license.
  • Minimum of one (1) year work experience in the operating room.
  • Special training and/or experience in surgical procedures.
  • Current AHA BLS Certification.
  • Current AHA ACLS Certification.
  • Current AHA PALS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Master's degree).
  • Additional languages preferred.
