About the Role

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale is a leading healthcare provider in the region, and we're seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a MedSurg/Tele Registered Nurse, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to our hospital's mission to improve the lives of our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process to ensure developmentally appropriate care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive plan of care that meets the needs of patients and their families.
  • Work independently, receiving minimal guidance, and make complex decisions that impact patient care.
  • Oversee care delivered by patient care teams, coordinate plans of care, and ensure patient care meets safety and effectiveness standards.
  • Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate patient care, using clinical judgment and evidence-based guidelines.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse license.
  • Basic EKG course within one year of hire.
  • Current AHA BLS Certification.
  • Current AHA ACLS Certification.
  • Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Master's degree).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Additional languages preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
