Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Acupuncturist to join our Pain Management team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will work under the auspices of the Comprehensive Pain Service to evaluate and administer acupuncture therapy for pediatric and select adult patients.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of pain history and develop personalized plans for acupuncture therapy in collaboration with the Chief of Pain Service.
  • Apply principles of growth and development to work effectively with patients of various ages, from birth to 21 years old.
  • Document treatment plans and patient responses in medical records.
  • Provide education to patients and families on the procedure, risks, and benefits of acupuncture.
  • Participate in care conferences with the Pain Team to evaluate alternative care when goals of acupuncture are deemed ineffective.
  • Offer education to other healthcare team members on the use of acupuncture.
  • Adhere to customer service principles and protect patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
  • Certification by the National Board of Acupuncture or Oriental Medicine.
  • Licensure by the Ohio Medical Board.
  • Experience with pediatric acupuncture is preferred.
  • At least one year of practice or education in an integrated medicine environment.
  • Must have own malpractice insurance.
