Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of pain history and develop personalized plans for acupuncture therapy in collaboration with the Chief of Pain Service.
- Apply principles of growth and development to work effectively with patients of all ages, from birth to 21 years old.
- Document treatment plans and patient responses in medical records, ensuring accurate and timely communication with the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families on the benefits and risks of acupuncture, promoting informed decision-making and empowerment.
- Participate in care conferences with the Pain Team to evaluate alternative care options and optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide education and training to other healthcare team members on the use of acupuncture, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Adhere to customer service principles, ensuring a positive and respectful experience for all patients, families, and colleagues.
- Certification by the National Board of Acupuncture or Oriental Medicine.
- Licensure by the Ohio Medical Board.
- Experience with pediatric acupuncture is highly desirable.
- At least one year of practice or education in an integrated medicine environment.
- Must have own malpractice insurance.
