Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Informatics Analyst to join our team at Baton Rouge General. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting clinical information systems, including planning, development, training, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of assigned systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Function as a clinical liaison between the IS Department and Patient Care Areas to resolve daily operational issues.
  • Provide education to clinical staff on Information System's clinical applications.
  • Assist clinical staff in identifying causes and solutions to computer issues.
  • Collaborate in the development and distribution of information to clinical staff.
  • Provide cross-training for other members of the IS staff on clinical information systems.
  • Work with patient care departments to identify enhancement and/or change requests for applications.
  • Perform master file and table maintenance for assigned applications.
  • Participate in testing of systems or applications before implementation to ensure functionality.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining effective and efficient security of applications.
Requirements
  • Clinical experience in a healthcare environment, with bedside patient care preferred.
  • Current Louisiana license as a clinical professional (e.g. RN, Radiology Tech, or Respiratory Tech) preferred.
  • Experience with personal computers and PC hardware troubleshooting.
  • Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable safety practices.
