Mammography Imaging Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mammography Technologist to join our team at Trinity Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging functions, including mammographic imaging, and assuming QA/QC responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine breast imaging with optimum diagnostic quality and consideration for patient tolerance and comfort.
- Maintain compliance with existing policies and procedures unique to Trinity Health Breast Imaging Center, including but not limited to needle localizations, specimen imaging, patient call backs, and core biopsies.
- Demonstrate competence in advanced breast imaging techniques, including but not limited to spot compression, magnification procedures, lesion and calcification localization, breast implant procedures, and breast specimen imaging.
- Perform and document accreditation testing requirements of such agencies as ACR, State of Michigan, and Mammography Quality Standards Act.
- Report problems identified through QA/QC testing to coordinator or supervisor and document all corrective actions taken.
- Participate in department meetings, orientation training, in-service programs, and quality assurance programs.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Associate degree in Allied Health.
- Completion of CAHEA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Registered by the ARRT (R)&(M).
- Acquire 15 CEC in mammography within a three-year period.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
