Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

At McLaren Health Care, we are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas consistent with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain patient history and explain standard procedures to foster a sense of comfort and confidence in patients.
  • Operate and maintain all assigned imaging department equipment, including tomography scanner equipment.
  • Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly.
  • Properly identify, prepare, and administer medications within the technologist's scope of practice.
  • Complete quality assurance processes and practice radiation safety to reduce exposure to patients, staff, and self.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Certified as CT Technologist
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology
  • Certified in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
  • Current BLS certification

Preferred:
  • Associate degree in radiology
  • Certified as CT Technologist
