We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Professional - Network Security Expert to join our team at HexaQuEST Global, Inc. As a key member of our security team, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing robust network security solutions that protect our organization from ever-evolving cyber threats.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned cybersecurity professional with expertise in network security engineering to lead and support various information security projects. You will work closely with our architecture teams to evaluate the security readiness of new features and functionalities in network security products.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing leadership and hands-on expertise for a diverse set of network security projects including cloud, firewall, WAF, and Web proxies.
- Researching, documenting, and assisting with the implementation of network security products.
- Providing engineering and operational support for network security products and services, including new deployments, hardware refresh/upgrades, migrations, and feature implementation.
- Administering security policies on various network security products.
To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on technical experience in implementing network security products like firewalls, cloud/web proxies, and DDoS mitigation solutions. Knowledge of firewalls (Palo Alto FW) and cloud security (AWS) is preferred.
You should possess a strong understanding of security operations concepts such as perimeter defense, BYOD management, data loss protection, insider threat, kill-chain analysis, risk assessment, and security metrics. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of network protocols and follow Information Security best practices.
Other essential qualifications include:
- A strong desire to learn new technologies, share best practices, and contribute to the broader shared knowledge of a global infrastructure and security team.
- The ability to self-organize, prioritize activities independently, create documentation, and reporting.
- Prior experience interfacing with business and technology stakeholders, managing stakeholder expectations, and enabling creative solutions through discussion and collaboration.
- An ability to manage uncertainty well, assess, and act with good enough but imperfect or incomplete information.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain technical ideas to non-technical individuals at any level.
As a senior cybersecurity professional, your compensation package will reflect your exceptional skillset and expertise, with an estimated annual salary range of $120,000-$160,000 depending on location and experience.
