We are seeking a seasoned Florida Security Guard Class D Instructor (DI) to join our training team, guiding the next generation of security professionals. This role requires a strong background and a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the security field, law enforcement, or military. Our ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise, a commitment to excellence, and a dedication to teaching best practices in safety and security.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the Class D Security Guard Curriculum: Provide thorough instruction on all aspects of security, including legal guidelines, emergency procedures, and fundamental security skills. Ensure that each topic aligns with Florida state standards for Class D licensing.
  • Engage and Inspire Students: Create an interactive and motivating learning environment that fosters engagement and encourages active participation. Develop rapport with students, catering to various learning styles to maximize their understanding and retention.
  • Promote Professional Standards: Instill high ethical standards and a sense of duty, reinforcing the importance of respect, integrity, and responsibility within the security profession.
  • Assess and Mentor: Evaluate student performance through assessments and provide constructive feedback. Guide students on areas for improvement and prepare them to meet industry demands with confidence.
  • Maintain Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on Florida regulations, emerging security trends, and best practices to keep the curriculum relevant and impactful.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years in the security industry, law enforcement, or military.
  • Licensing: Current or eligible to obtain the Florida Class D Instructor certification (with a Class G - Preferred).
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills, with the ability to convey complex information effectively.
  • Commitment to Excellence: A deep dedication to shaping future security professionals who exemplify competence, resilience, and a proactive approach to public safety.
  • English (Required) and Spanish (Preferred)
