Archivist Role at CSU Pueblo

The University Archivist will play a pivotal role in preserving and promoting the rich history of the Colorado Chicano Movement as well as the history of our institution and the various groups that make up our diverse community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the local community to develop and promote the Colorado Chicano Movement Archives.
  • Facilitate the acquisition, digitization, preservation, and access to archival materials.
  • Manage the Special Collections area, including rare books and manuscripts.
  • Ensure compliance with state guidelines for document retention, preservation, and disposal.
  • Collect, organize, preserve, and provide access to the University's administrative and historical records.
  • Participate in research, teaching, and outreach activities within the library faculty.
  • Teach credit-bearing courses in archives management, if desired.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Library Science (ALA accredited) or related archives discipline to be obtained no later than May 2025.
  • Commitment to working with diverse student populations and commitment to equity in education at all levels.
