Job Opportunity

At ADAPT Community Network, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Family Support Coach to join our team. This per-diem/part-time role offers a flexible schedule and a competitive hourly rate of $25.

About the Position

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about empowering parents with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach their full potential. As a Family Support Coach, you will be responsible for creating lesson plans, conducting parenting classes, and providing one-on-one coaching sessions. Your goal will be to identify performance/behavior gaps and develop strategies to improve outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create engaging lesson plans and conduct effective parenting classes at program sites and remotely.
  • Develop independent learning activities to ensure concepts learned during training programs are applied.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance and progress, and write reports as requested.
  • Travel to parent's homes or community settings to conduct coaching sessions.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and other agency personnel to address problems, share ideas, and provide feedback.
  • Assist in organizing staffing, transportation, and logistics for in-person sessions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with parents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility to travel between programs and administrative locations.
