Job Title: Director of Staff Development

At Friends, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Staff Development to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our staff and clients.

Job Summary:

The Director of Staff Development will be responsible for ensuring that all staff members are in compliance with DHS training requirements. This includes creating and maintaining all training records and employees' logs, providing monthly schedules at least 30 days in advance for staffing purposes, and assuring that HR has a copy of all training logs and certificates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement training programs to meet the needs of our staff and clients
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with Residential Coordinators to provide feedback and support to staff
  • Work with the Executive Director to determine staff appraisals and promotions
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of staff training and compliance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a related field
  • Experience in CASSP system and/or residential care preferred
  • Certified CPR Instructor, First Aid Instructor, and Trainer of Physical and Verbal De-escalation techniques
