Job Summary

Group Management Services is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Event Sales Specialist to join our team. As an Event Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients, ensuring an exceptional experience from the moment the client makes an event inquiry until the client is fully booked and handed off to the appropriate outlet for event execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Engagement: Meet with clients to initiate the sales process, discuss packages and make the contract sale. Provide onsite walking tours and property overviews to seal the deal.
  • Event Sales: Learn and master computerized programs to fully meet job expectations. Process bookings and payment as needed upon receipt of signed agreement.
  • Event Coordination: Hand-off signed Villa Grande/Pavilion events to Event Services Manager to be assigned to event coordinators. Assign and hand-off all restaurant events to Restaurant Coordinators, Managers and all parties involved.
  • Communication: Multi-task and follow-up immediately (less than 48 hours) with all sales inquiries. Provide accurate billing information and proper invoicing of clients.
  • Business Development: Focus on outbound sales efforts, such as weekly corporate follow-up and Christmas repeat reach out. Attend conventions, conferences, bridal shows and sales meetings to develop industry knowledge and promote sales as needed.
  • Customer Service: Remain courteous, friendly and professional to guests, co-workers and supervisors at all times. Effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
Requirements
  • Experience: Sales experience preferred (1+ years)
  • Computer Skills: Computer experience required, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel experience required. Open Table and OSEM experience preferred.
  • Availability: Must be available to work Saturdays and at least one late weekday a week for full sales office coverage.
  • Grooming: Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific Dress code and Professional Appearance standards apply).
