Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Make Ready Technician to join our team at RPM Living. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing apartment units for resident move-in by performing turn of all vacant units while meeting established quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follows the make-ready checklist to complete necessary repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to resident move-in.
  • Inspects sheetrock and makes repairs; caulks and seals windows, sink areas, toilets, bathtubs, and showers; and performs touch-up paint.
  • Maintains an inventory of supplies and equipment needed for make-ready tasks.
  • Cuts expenses by fixing rather than replacing parts and avoiding being wasteful with supplies.
  • Assists with property curb appeal by picking up trash, pressure-washing, performing general cleaning, and painting as needed.
  • Complies with safety and risk-management policies by participating in safety meetings, OSHA training, and other safety-related laws and requirements and by reporting accidents and incidents promptly and accurately.
  • Delivers a high level of customer service by treating residents and others with respect and completing assigned work with efficiency and urgency.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in maintenance or related field preferred.
  • General knowledge in a variety of skilled trades including construction/installation, repair, and maintenance, drywall, basic carpentry, and make-ready.
  • HVAC experience a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
