Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital. As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our radiology department.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the performance of interventional radiology procedures, including angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrograms, and vascular studies.
  • Operate imaging equipment, such as C-Arms and PACS systems, to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff, adhering to infection control protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in interventional radiology or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of radiology procedures, imaging equipment, and patient care protocols.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to use and deploy pushable/detachable coils, micro catheters, micro wires, snare kits, and injector systems.
  • Experience with Epic systems and other electronic medical records preferred.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a 4x10 day schedule, 7a-5:30p, with an average of 10 days of call per month, including weekends. The successful candidate will be required to float within scope to meet facility needs and must be willing to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
