POSITION SUMMARY

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for assessing and treating individuals with speech, auditory, swallowing, and cognitive impairments, ensuring adherence to relevant state and federal regulations.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the guidance of a physician, the SLP delivers direct therapeutic interventions based on a pre-established care plan.

Conducts screenings and assessments to formulate tailored care strategies for residents.


Designs, implements, and oversees rehabilitation programs aimed at enhancing communication abilities for those facing challenges in speech, swallowing, or cognitive functions.

Administers, evaluates, and interprets specialized assessments related to speech and hearing.

Educates residents, their families, and caregivers on monitoring speech progress and practicing newly acquired skills.

Completes necessary documentation in compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations.

Maintains accurate and timely patient records.

Creates specialized tools and interventions to meet the unique needs of each patient.

QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.

Active licensure in Speech Therapy as mandated by state law.

Certification demonstrating clinical competency.

SUPERVISORY ROLE
May oversee Rehabilitation Aides and other personnel involved in the treatment program.
