About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Patent Classification Specialist to join our team at Clarivate Analytics. As a key member of our Patent Search and Innovation Intelligence Services Team, you will play a critical role in determining appropriate application classifications in accordance with the Cooperative Patent Classification (CPC) system and United States Patent Classification System (USPC).

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need a strong background in electrical engineering, electronics, or physics, with experience and/or significant coursework in areas such as circuits, electronics, electrical systems, power systems, semiconductors, optics, testing systems, and digital signal processing. You will also need at least 6 months of work experience with research via work, internships, or volunteering, and be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Master the patent classification process and assign classifications in accordance with the Cooperative Patent Classification rules and definitions.
  • Classify applications related to specific technologies and continually expand your knowledge and expertise into new technologies.
  • Work closely with others in a team environment to achieve shared goals and objectives.
