Job Summary

As a valued member of the Emerson Hospital team, the Customer Service Representative plays a critical role in ensuring exceptional patient care and satisfaction. Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor, this position is responsible for handling all patient inquiries in a courteous and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized support to patients, addressing their concerns and needs in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Work collaboratively with patients to select nutritious meal options, taking into account their dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient information, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance knowledge and skills, ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Education
    • High School Diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in an office or clerical setting, preferably in a hospital or medical business office environment.
  • Skills
    • Working knowledge of electronic medical records systems, such as Meditech.
    • Excellent communication, correspondence, and customer service skills.
    • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
    • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
