Position Overview:
We are looking for a Trust & Estate Paralegal or legal assistant with at least 5 years of expertise in estate planning and administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
- Perform legal research related to trusts and estates
- Compose legal correspondence and various estate administration documents
- Aid in managing estates by organizing assets, addressing debts, and distributing assets to beneficiaries
- Liaise with clients and other parties involved in the estate administration process
- Maintain precise records and files pertinent to estate planning
- Prepare and file pleadings in probate matters
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a trust and estate paralegal
- In-depth knowledge of estate planning and administration
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant legal software
- Familiarity with surrogate court processes and litigation
