Job Summary

The Lead Mental Health Clinician serves as a key member of the Warren Village team, providing clinical leadership and supervision to the mental health program. This role involves delivering high-quality mental health services to children, youth, and families, as well as overseeing the program's operations and ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement strengths-focused, family-centered, culturally competent mental health services for children, adolescents, adults, and families.
  • Promote a trauma-informed environment of wellbeing that engages and empowers youth and their caregivers to create and support healthy relationships and reach their goals.
  • Provide therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families served, including play therapy, individual psychotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing a trauma-informed care focus and culturally sensitive practices.
  • Provide ongoing assessments and reviews of treatment progress on a regular basis.
  • Responsible for all required clinical and administrative documentation.
  • Outreach, recruit, and engage clients in mental health services.
  • Facilitate the process of referral, intake, and assessment for Warren Village mental health services.
  • Collaborate with Warren Village Kids' Club staff to support greater social-emotional growth for youth.
  • Provide training, consultation, and support to Kids' Club staff for greater youth success and/or behavioral intervention support.
  • Provide monthly psycho-educational Evening Enrichment Classes for parents on a variety of social-emotional topics.
  • Provide consultation to team members on clinical and casework issues as appropriate.
  • Participate in meetings, including team/departmental meetings, all staff meetings, and supervisory sessions.
  • Promote the goals of the organization through tours, presentations, and written articles as needed.
Leadership and Supervision
  • Oversee the data collection, therapy attendance, and program evaluation efforts for the Mental Health Program.
  • Directly supervise the Mental Health Program staff and interns, including hiring, training, motivating, and evaluating performance.
  • Oversee client waitlists and the referral and intake process for all Mental Health Clinicians on the team.
  • Support in the development and administration of the Mental Health Program budget.
  • Maintain open channels of communication and sharing of information with the Director of Family Wellness to collaboratively ensure the development of goals for the Mental Health Program, aligned with Warren Village's overarching strategic vision.
Requirements
  • Master's degree (MA) or equivalent in Social Work or another mental health discipline.
  • Two years minimum experience working in the mental health field with children, youth, and families.
  • One year of experience supervising a staff member.
  • Clinical license from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (Spanish, French, Arabic, or Swahili) highly preferred.
  • Lived experience in homelessness or housing instability, including an alumnus of Warren Village.
  • If driving is required, employee must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive Warren Village vehicles.
