Family Law Paralegal Job Description

Gravis Law, PLLC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Family Law Paralegal to join our team. As a Family Law Paralegal, you will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys and clients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage attorney dockets to ensure timely completion of tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Review files and confer with attorneys to discuss file status and upcoming deadlines.
  • Assist attorneys with preparing for client meetings, depositions, mediations, and other critical events.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including letters, briefs, and memorandums.
  • Maintain client files, both electronic and physical, and ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Communicate with clients on a regular basis, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Conduct legal research and draft documents as needed.
  • Provide top-notch legal products and services to clients, meeting the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
  • Cover the front desk and phones as needed, ensuring prompt and professional service to clients and office visitors.
  • Maintain a positive and professional reputation within the firm and with external partners and clients.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; college graduate with a bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of Paralegal experience, with a focus on Family Law preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Computer proficiency, including MS-Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude.

Work Environment:

Duties will be performed in a standard office environment. Employees must have the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with Gravis policy. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally be required to work weekends, holidays, be on call, and some employees could be required to travel overnight on occasion.
