Advanced Practice Practitioner

We are seeking an Advanced Practice Practitioner to join our team at Rochester Regional Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work with patients with substance use disorders, collaborating with physicians, APPs, and nurses to provide medical and addiction treatment to a diverse population.

Responsibilities- Obtain complete, detailed, and accurate patient histories and physical data to interpret and integrate data to determine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed.
- Monitor and manage effects of prescribed treatments and patient condition and progress following diagnosis.
- Prescribe medication, write orders, perform minor procedures, monitor and manage medical care plans and treatment for primary and secondary diagnosis.
- Interact with patients, family members, medical/social/public services support, regulatory agencies, and/or payor agencies, requiring expressed empathy, understanding, problem-solving, education, information gathering, process influencing, and counseling.
- At least one (1) year of experience required in chemical dependency, primary care, or hospital medicine.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate, warm, and patient-focused.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional documentation skills and professional behavior.
- MS in Nursing (Required).
- RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED).
- NP - Nurse Practitioner Certification - New York State Education Department (NYSED).
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
Pay and BenefitsThe listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
