Serco collaborates with transportation authorities to operate a free patrol service dedicated to incident management, ensuring quick and safe clearance of events that disrupt traffic flow, including accidents and vehicle breakdowns.

The primary objective of this program is to maintain clear and safe highways for all travelers.


As a member of our team, you will work closely with transportation officials, local law enforcement, and emergency responders on a daily basis.


Key Responsibilities:


Monitor highways for incidents such as vehicle collisions, disabled or abandoned vehicles, debris, traffic signal issues, and other situations that may cause congestion.


Provide essential roadside assistance to motorists in need, which may include changing tires, jump-starting batteries, delivering fuel, and clearing debris from roadways.

Collaborate with police and emergency services during highway incidents.



Deliver incident response services, manage on-scene traffic control, and provide basic first aid as necessary.

Implement Traffic Incident Management (TIM) strategies.


Utilize two-way radios and smartphones to communicate effectively with the Traffic Management Center and local law enforcement agencies.

Adhere to safety protocols to prevent injuries and accidents at all times.



Complete both classroom and field training to achieve certification as a roadside assistance operator.

Qualifications:
To excel in this position, candidates should possess:

- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of experience in incident management or a related field
- A valid driver's license
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Capability to work outdoors, lift/carry up to 50 lbs, and walk unassisted for 300 yards
- Proficiency in English (bilingual candidates are a plus)
- A minimum age of 21
- Ability to successfully complete required training to become certified

This position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance
