Job Summary

Crown Bakeries is seeking a skilled Packaging Associate to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective packaging of our products.

Responsibilities:
  • Product Loading and Quality Control: Under supervision and using established procedures, ensure that products are loaded into trays or cases properly to prevent damage.
  • Production Targets: Maintain hourly production targets and work collaboratively with the team to meet production schedules.
  • Team Development and Motivation: Train, develop, and motivate team members on job performance, quality expectations, and standardized work.
  • Product Quality and Compliance: Oversee product quality and ensure that products are produced in compliance with customer specifications.
  • Production Schedules and Inventory Management: Adhere to production schedules, ensure production orders are met for finished goods inventories, and minimize waste to ensure conformance to safety and quality standards.
  • Non-Conforming Product Identification: Remove all out-of-spec product from the line and notify the Production Supervisor of all non-conforming product or processes on the line.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work in unison and assist fellow team members to ensure a smooth and efficient production process.
  • Quality Verification: Verify that all bags are in specification (no missing product, correct code date).
  • Line Startups and Changeovers: Assist the Packaging Lead in line startups and changeovers.
  • Housekeeping and Safety: Keep the entire area clean at all times and maintain a safe operation, complying with the corporate accident prevention program, and following safe work practices.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other related responsibilities, as needed or directed by the Production Supervisor and Manager, to support Crown Bakeries' business objectives.
Requirements:
  • Quick and Controlled Hand-Eye Coordination: Quick and controlled hand-eye coordination.
  • Physical Demands: Able to stand for long periods of time, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Teamwork and Problem-Solving: Able to work in a team environment as well as work independently, problem solve, learn on the fly, process and technical learning, and quality decision.
