Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmic Technician I to join our team at Georgia Retina. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our board-certified ophthalmologists in delivering world-class eye care services.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain and document patient history, including medical and vision-related information
  • Determine visual acuity and perform automated refraction to assess patients' vision
  • Administer eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions as ordered by physicians
  • Perform office duties and clinical tasks, including entering data into our electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Provide patient services, such as answering questions and addressing concerns
  • Maintain equipment and instruments to ensure optimal functionality
Requirements
  • Dependable transportation to travel to other offices as required
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to seek instruction and guidance in areas where you are not knowledgeable
  • Ability to recognize inconsistencies and take corrective action
Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a medical or clinical setting is preferred.
