Highlands County Fire Rescue (HCFR) is a dynamic organization that provides emergency services to the community. As a volunteer firefighter, you will be part of a team that responds to a wide range of emergencies, including structure fires, vehicle accidents, and medical emergencies.

Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Complete the application process
  • Attend a New Hire Orientation
  • Regularly attend meetings and internal trainings
  • Be capable of responding to emergency calls

We offer a competitive compensation package, including $5.00 per call, paid quarterly, and a length of service award program.
