Director of System and Instructional Performance

Calvert County Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Director of System and Instructional Performance. This position is responsible for leading and directing system and instructional performance in the areas of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional learning.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with directors and supervisors to align districtwide initiatives and improve student achievement.
- Supervise and evaluate instructional supervisors and specialists to ensure curriculum and instruction align with system priorities.
- Develop and implement the Calvert County Instructional Framework and Multi-Tiered System of Support Guidance.
- Provide leadership in the implementation of the action plan for Pillars 1, 3, and 4 of the Blueprint for Maryland's Future.
- Prepare and administer the local budget and title grants.
- Coordinate professional development opportunities to support researched-based strategies, evidenced-based practices, inclusive practices, and culturally responsive instruction.
- Ensure a strong system-wide assessment program and regularly analyze data to inform curricular and instructional practice.
- Must hold or be eligible to hold Administrator II endorsement by July 1, 2024.
- Five (5) years of successful school and/or central office experience in an administrative and/or supervisory capacity.
- Master's Degree with coursework in leadership, system improvement, and/or instructional design required.
- Demonstrated ability to make connections to and between Calvert County Public Schools system priorities and initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, supervise, and evaluate school personnel.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of equity, including the ability to advocate for marginalized students.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize and promote equitable practices in all facets of education.
This position requires significant periods of standing, walking, and periodic lifting. May be subject to flexible hours and travel to schools as necessary.
