Compounding Pharmacy Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Compounding Pharmacy Specialist to join our team at Actalent in Arizona. This role involves working in a fast-paced compounding pharmacy environment where you will interpret prescriptions, provide patient and prescriber counseling, supervise technicians, and perform quality checks.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure accurate interpretation of prescription orders and input them into the computer system.
- Provide expert advice to patients and doctors about our products, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Conduct regular checks on compounding formulas and update lot and expiration dates to maintain compliance with regulations.
- Perform thorough quality control checks on all prescriptions before releasing them to patients.
- Supervise and mentor technicians to ensure they follow established procedures and best practices.
- Verify the accuracy of prescription entries in the computer system against the hard copy.
- Handle verbal orders from various sources while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Hold a PharmD degree and be registered as a pharmacist in Arizona.
- Demonstrate prior authorization experience and possess excellent customer service skills.
- Show ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Estimated Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 per year
