Pharmaceutical Operations Manager

Actalent is seeking a highly skilled Pharmaceutical Operations Manager to lead our compounding pharmacy team in Arizona. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for interpreting prescriptions, providing patient and prescriber counseling, supervising technicians, and performing quality checks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Interpret prescription orders and input them into the computer system accurately.
- Advise patients and doctors about our products, highlighting their benefits and features.
- Check compounding formulas and update lot and expiration dates to ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
- Perform final checks on all prescriptions to guarantee quality and safety.
- Supervise technicians to ensure they are following established procedures and protocols.
- Verify that the prescription was entered into the computer against the hard copy to maintain accuracy.
- Accept verbal orders from voicemail, IVR, and direct phone contacts while maintaining confidentiality.
- Monitor compliance with procedures and implement changes as needed.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Possess a PharmD degree and be registered as a pharmacist in Arizona.
- Have prior authorization experience and excellent customer service skills.
- Able to work effectively as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
