Job Summary:

Thorndale Partners is seeking an EDI Systems Strategist to lead the development and implementation of our EDI strategy, vision, and roadmap. This individual will plan, develop, and implement the EDI systems, applications, and integrations, ensuring they adhere to industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business units, IT departments, vendors, and trading partners.
Negotiate and manage contracts and service level agreements with EDI service providers and vendors.
Oversee the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of EDI systems, applications, and integrations.
Monitor and evaluate EDI system performance, availability, security, and compliance, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
Ensure EDI systems adhere to industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Resolve complex EDI issues and provide technical support and guidance to the EDI team and users.
Conduct regular audits and reviews of EDI systems and processes, and recommend improvements and enhancements.
Prepare and present reports and analyses on EDI systems status, metrics, and outcomes.

Requirements:

6+ years of experience in EDI systems development, implementation, and management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Extensive knowledge and expertise in EDI standards, formats, protocols, and technologies, such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, AS2, FTP, VAN communication protocols, etc.
Familiarity with iSeries and RPG development and data files.

Preferred Requirements:

Knowledge of OpenText TrustedLink and BizManager.
Experience with INFOR is a plus.
Strong project management, budgeting, and planning skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Ability to adapt to changing business needs and technologies.
