Job Title: Assistant Baker

At Nothing Bundt Cakes, we're seeking a skilled Assistant Baker to join our team. As an Assistant Baker, you will work closely with our Baker to ensure the highest quality cakes are consistently produced for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow proprietary recipes and production methods with precision to achieve productivity goals.
  • Effectively utilize measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers and ovens, and other tools to bake cakes.
  • Assist the Baker with accurately preparing raw ingredients and equipment for baking, placing cake pans in the oven, and monitoring the baking process.
  • Support the Baker with daily baking and production flow, and process cakes according to company standards.
  • Adhere to proper packaging, labeling, and storage of baked cakes, as well as product rotation standards, and maintain baking and refrigeration logs.
  • Clean, sanitize, and restock the workstation, and assist the Baker to ensure all baking supplies are prepared for the next shift.
  • Comply with all health and safety guidelines and company policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene.

Requirements:
  • Ability to understand written and oral directions, interpret instructional documents, and apply knowledge to perform job responsibilities.
  • Understanding of basic units of measurement used in the U.S.
  • Ability to perform repetitious, physical tasks that require strength to lift items of moderate to heavyweight and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate commercial-grade ovens and other bakery equipment and work adjacent to a high-heat source.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work on a tight, fast-paced production schedule.
  • Ability to evaluate products, processes, information, and surroundings to determine compliance with standards.
  • Discipline and attention to detail to strictly adhere to health and safety practices and work environment standards.
  • Diligence, organization, and self-motivation, with the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
Education, Certifications, and Work Experience Requirements:
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Previous experience as a Baker or in another operational support role at a bakery, restaurant, or foodservice environment is a plus.
Work Availability:

Must have the flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on changing business demands.

Compensation: $12.00 per hour
