The Registered Nurse (RN) is a key member of the healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and services to patients in a labor, delivery, and recovery setting. As a RN with Samaritan Health Services, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse population and provide care that is tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect patient care, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their physical and emotional needs, and develop plans to address these needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, to promote healthy behaviors and outcomes.
- Current unencumbered Oregon RN license.
- Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification.
- Basic Fetal Monitoring skills.
- NRP certification within six months of hire.
- STABLE certification within one year of hire.
- Previous experience in Labor and Delivery.
The RN will be required to stand, walk, and move frequently throughout the workday. The RN will also be required to lift, carry, and move patients and equipment as needed. The RN will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
