Position Overview:
The Senior Construction Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Project Manager or Program Manager by overseeing daily operations from the pre-construction phase through to project completion and warranty periods.

Key Responsibilities:
This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities including:
1. **Safety Management:** Ensure adherence to the company's safety protocols, training programs, and policies while promoting and managing the safety and health performance of project teams and subcontractors.
2. **Project Oversight:** Supervise day-to-day construction activities and ensure the successful execution of one or multiple projects concurrently.
3. **Planning and Scheduling:** Provide guidance and participate in project planning, scheduling, estimating, cost development, and setting critical project objectives.
4. **Client Relations:** Cultivate new and maintain existing client relationships, interfacing with clients on proposals and project-related matters.
5. **Contract Negotiation:** Engage in negotiations for prime contracts, construction management contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
6. **Risk Management:** Participate in internal and external project risk assessments and consult with the Legal Department as necessary.

Execution and Administration:
Implement assigned sections of the Project Execution Plan, which includes construction execution, quality assurance, safety and health plans, subcontracting strategies, staffing plans, organizational charts, and procurement strategies.

Oversee the development of project plans for site layout, mobilization, and demobilization, ensuring compliance with project requirements for permits.

Reporting and Documentation:
Review, approve, and communicate both internal and external reports, including project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and status updates to Project Managers and executive management as required.

Collaboration:
Work closely with the engineering team to ensure the timely development and distribution of engineering deliverables according to project schedules and requirements.

Contract Administration:
Manage downstream contract administration processes, including requests for information (RFIs), submittals, change management, contract closeout, documentation, and claims mitigation.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, along with 7 years of relevant project management experience in the construction sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project management software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with exceptional organizational abilities.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

Additional Requirements:
Experience in construction project sites or program management across various industries such as aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, and transportation is preferred. A basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is also required.
