About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our Data and Technology team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing advice on business-as-usual (BAU) compliance and regulatory matters related to Data and Technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice on BAU compliance and regulatory matters related to Data and Technology.
  • Partner with the Data and Technology Organization to be the escalation point for Risk and Compliance.
  • Advise on incidents or issues in a timely, clear, and articulate manner, including advising on IT and Data related internal controls.
  • Participate in discussions of data and technology issues as part of the Internal Controls Issue Review process.
  • Evaluate and escalate Data and Technology initiatives and emerging potential risks.
  • Assist the Data and Technology Organization and global Risk and Compliance colleagues in data and technology related regulatory interactions as required.
  • Assist with the establishment and/or enhancement/changes to data and technology policies and procedures.
  • Undertake Compliance investigations and reviews as required.
  • Assist in the development of compliance training and ongoing communications that promote heightened awareness of codes of conduct, policies and procedures.
  • Work with other Compliance Officers in analyzing data to make observations and recommendations for improvement in the Compliance program.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a compliance, control or data and technology governance or other relevant experience in a highly regulated industry.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge of data and technology governance and processes.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and strong team player.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and presentation skills.
  • Ability to drive consensus across business groups.
  • Navigate challenging situations at all levels of the business in a resilient, confident and practical manner.
  • Well-organized with the ability to drive large scale projects and initiatives.
  • Ability to maintain a global perspective and work with colleagues across various jurisdictions.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement under pressure.
  • Completing demands on time from a diverse set of internal client group.
