Business Continuity and Data Governance Manager

At Equiniti, we are seeking a highly skilled Business Continuity and Data Governance professional to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing our overall US Business Continuity Program and Data Governance program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement regional business continuity planning efforts, including response procedures for the continuity of business processes during a disruption or disaster.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to align the regional BCP program to regulatory, compliance, contractual, and audit expectations within applicable frameworks and standards.
  • Establish strong business partnerships to ensure the adequacy of Business Impact Analyses, BCP Plans, Recovery Strategies, Data inputs and outputs, and the BC/DR Testing and Exercises program.
  • Work collaboratively to influence and socialize BCP strategies, standards, policies, procedures, communications, and governance.
  • Raise awareness of Business Continuity program and readiness to program stakeholders, including the Board of Directors.
  • Work across business lines to identify data and BCP policy assurance opportunities ensuring control and testing objectives are achieved.
  • Develop and implement a broader Data Governance framework in conjunction with Product & Engineering for the US businesses, including data management lifecycle, data issue management, data access reviews across unstructured/structured data repositories, and etc.
  • Align with Equiniti Group and contribute to the firm's evolving enterprise Data Management framework.
  • Drive change with focus on governance, innovation, and efficiency.
  • Partner and collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management, Data Protection Office, BCP, Compliance, Legal, and other second-line functions as well as Internal Audit.
Requirements
  • 10+ years in the Finance industry, with an understanding of Shareholder Services preferred. Previous experience in a first-line Business Continuity Planning & Data Governance setting.
  • Proficient understanding of key concepts in risk and controls management.
  • Proven ability to lead and facilitate BCP and Data Governance while setting the benchmark of what 'good looks like'.
  • Ability to work across different types of businesses and second-line functions, including Legal, Compliance, Risk, etc., and third-line; Internal Audit.
  • Delivery-focused - proven ability to optimally drive projects/reviews/tasks to completion at a high standard.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to established timeframes.
  • Ability to engage and influence with proficient interpersonal skills.
  • Experience dealing with various Auditors and Regulators is beneficial.
  • Astute problem solver with solid analytical skills who is competent with Microsoft Office, with above-average expertise in Excel and PowerPoint necessary.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with an eye for accuracy and consistency, excellent grammar, composition, and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Compensation
  • $125,000-145,000 per year
