Pediatric Nephrology Advanced Practice Provider

We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our Pediatric Nephrology team at Duke University. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of our clinical programs.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care services, including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, in the clinic and hospital settings.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient plans of care.
- Conduct patient histories, physical examinations, and record data in the patient's record.
- Order and schedule laboratory studies, diagnostic procedures, and services as needed.
- Coordinate the activities of the multidisciplinary Pediatric Nephrology team to ensure optimal patient care services.
- Nurse Practitioners: Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Physician Assistants: Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and a Bachelor's degree; Master's degree strongly preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- Nurse Practitioners: Current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina and national certification as a NP required prior to or within 6 months of employment.
- Physician Assistants: Licensure in the state of NC and certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants required.
- 1+ years of work experience as a Pediatric or Adult Nephrology Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant and/or RN.
