NYC Health + Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychologist to join our team in the Correctional Health Services department. As a Forensic Psychologist, you will play a critical role in conducting court-ordered evaluations of criminal defendants and providing expert testimony in court proceedings.
Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of criminal defendants, including psychological testing and assessment
- Prepare and submit timely written reports to the courts
- Provide expert testimony in court proceedings as needed
- Participate in regular supervision and quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. degree in Psychology
- Valid license and current registration to practice as a psychologist in New York State
- At least two years of post-licensure experience practicing clinical and/or forensic psychology, with one year of post-licensure supervisory experience
- Completion of NYC Health + Hospitals Supervisory training within three months of appointment
